At Cre8tive Thinking Counseling Services, I often integrate both counseling and therapeutic coaching within the treatment process when clinically appropriate. While counseling focuses on healing, emotional processing, and addressing underlying challenges, therapeutic coaching helps clients move forward by creating actionable goals and developing practical tools for lasting change.

Counseling is designed to help individuals, couples, and families address emotional, relational, and mental health concerns that may be impacting their daily lives. Through counseling, we explore patterns, beliefs, past experiences, family dynamics, and current challenges that may be contributing to emotional distress or relationship difficulties.
Counseling may focus on concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship conflict, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and personal growth. The goal is not only symptom relief but also deeper healing, increased self-awareness, and healthier ways of thinking, communicating, and relating to others.
Therapeutic coaching is a forward-focused, strengths-based approach for individuals and couples who are ready to move toward specific goals and desired outcomes. Coaching places less emphasis on processing the past and more emphasis on creating a clear path forward.
Clients seeking therapeutic coaching often seek practical tools, accountability, skill development, improved communication, confidence-building, personal growth, leadership development, relationship enrichment, or support in navigating life transitions.
Together, we identify goals, develop strategies, and create an action plan that can be implemented immediately in everyday life.
Therapeutic coaching is ideal for individuals who are motivated to make changes, learn new skills, and apply those skills to achieve measurable results.

Many clients benefit from a combination of counseling and therapeutic coaching. During our work together, we may spend time healing emotional wounds, processing challenges, and gaining insight through counseling while also focusing on practical tools, accountability, and goal achievement through coaching.
This integrated approach helps clients not only understand what is holding them back but also equips them with the skills and strategies needed to move forward with confidence.
Therapeutic coaching is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for counseling services. Therapeutic coaching does not diagnose, treat, or address mental health disorders. Individuals seeking therapeutic coaching are focused on personal, professional, relational, or spiritual growth rather than mental health treatment.
Because therapeutic coaching is not a clinical service, it is not covered by insurance and is offered on a private-pay basis. Payment is due at the time of service and cannot be submitted for insurance reimbursement.
Whether you choose counseling, therapeutic coaching, or a combination of both, our goal is to help you gain clarity, develop effective tools, strengthen relationships, and move from surviving to thriving.
